It's my birthday and my friend Carrie sent me a package filled love, sensuous pleasures, herbal delight, comfort and creativity! What a fabulous way to begin my birthday! I wanted to open it yesterday but waited as we discussed. 

The scarf is scrumptious - chocolate brown wool knitted in enormous stitches - on her arms!!! It's called arm knitting! There is a pot holder perfect for carrying my little tea pot to the bedroom - it even matches it!

And the herbal products look good enough to eat! They are accented with labels, ribbons and hearts. She made Ming Lip Balm,  a Lavender Candle, Lavender Bath Salts and Sugar Scrub and a scrumptious body butter made from Coconut and Lemon. It smells good enough to eat, but I'll resist. i'm feeling so blessed to have such a talented and generous friend!

A gift for a friend celebrating her 50th birthday. You'd never guess that she is a day over 30 so I'm not telling. She radiates beauty because of her love and kindness! We are in touch at least once every day and she makes every day brighter for me!

She's an Aquarius and loves herbs so I made her a Herbs of Aquarius over sized card - very oversized!!! -  filled with information on the magical powers of twelve of her sign's special herbs and ways to use them in her life to bring greater health and joy. 

I'm keeping this post hidden until she received her gift. Shhhhh!

The first step was creating the papers for the covers of the journals and hand sewing the papers inside - used the red one on the far left of the first photograph. The finished size of the book is 10" by 14". Next came the cards in the middle and right photos. I filled in the information on the herbs magical properties and tucked them into envelopes through out the book. Herbal illustrations, quotes, suggestions for using her special herbs, recipes, common names of herbs, spells etc. were layered through out. Can hardly wait to get started on Pisces!

Seeing where your packages wind up is more fun than getting them LOL How fun is it that I have a package that is like Wheres Waldo? You should write instructions for the carriers to take pictures with it at each destination hahahah!!!!!

Mikell this is absolutely beautiful!!! Izzy and I Ohhhed and aahhhhhed over the whole thing! The colors are GRAND and the information priceless! My favorite tie bit of info was the 5 days of poppy seeds LOL. I think its the drinker who is convinced he is invisible LOL!! After five days of poppy seeds? I'd think I was invisible too!! 
And although I absolutely LOVE every single page and every single painting my favorite is Violet. The colors…omgosh!!! DELISH!!!!
