Over half way through my map for the second half of 2017 and things are well on schedule! It's been a productive year, filled with memorable moments. Several of my projects and goals won't wrap up until December, but they are on time..
There are a number of initiatives that are personal and aren't included in this map and they are on course. All in all, the year has been over flowing with treasured adventures with family and friends, supporting groups I believe in, a renewed focus on health - Shaun T, I'm back! - and a continued focus on learning and teaching through research and classes. Daily journaling (since 2003), illustrated journaling, writing, sewing and designing, gardening, cooking, herbal creations and choral singing have made this a creative and productive year.
Next year's plans are being formulated and my 2018 map is in draft form. It's time to move forward and build on the knowledge and skills from 2017 and to help others and expand dreams.
Playing with the metallic water color paints Carrie sent is so much fun! Today I did sketches of the wild grapes growing though out our neighborhood. The colors - purple, turquoise, magenta - look like jewels! This sketch doesn't begin to do them justice but I enjoyed the process. This is a variation on a design theme from my class on Imagining.
Last week I randomly folded all of my fabrics so I could arrange them until I found shelves. Then yesterday Mycala asked me she was throwing out her black shelves. I asked if she' measure them and when she gave me the dimensions, they fit perfectly in the space in my sewing room
But it was even more amazing is the the fabrics I had folded fit inside the shelving perfectly! It was as if I had measured!
